There's Not Enough Pie To Go Around

We could go into the deep mathematical equations used by the Federal Government and attempt to explain the above mentioned Debt Clock but it just seems that it is not rocket science ---the current government concepts seem to be the following: 1. Government can spend money that is not theirs
                    2. Government can make the laws in regards to credit
                    3. Government can give the money to whomever they want
                    4. Government can spend money they don't have.....
                    5. If Government runs out of money they print more
                    6. Government can borrow money from other countires, even if they are not our friends. Do you know what we will pay them back with when we run out of money and have no gold....take a big guess.
No, it's not beans.....it's not poker chips....it's not strawberries.......
Click here to see how China (whom we are in great financial debt too) will be paid back

So in an effort to explain the reason for the debt, UP RISE will seek out and post here as a service to you, what YOUR money is paying for. No No...don't thank us....just sleep well and take pride in those public servants who were elected as overseers of the piggy bank. Obama said today (4/29/10)  "there comes a time when you have made enough money".                         That's comforting

Here is one example that you will read about in the link below to the 55 page pdf that lists all of the wasteful stimulus spending.

Arizona Universities Given Nearly $1 Million in Federal Stimulus Money to Study "Division of Labor in Ant Colonies," and John McCain Ain't Happy

Read the article here: http://blogs.phoenixnewtimes.com/valleyfever/2009/12/arizona_universities_given_nea.php

Some of the other gems outlined in McCain's catalog of stupid spending are a $400,000 grant awarded to the University of Buffalo for a study on kids who smoke weed and drink malt liquor, a dinner cruise boat in Chicago that got $1 million to fight terrorism, and a $219,000 grant to the National Institute of Health to determine whether college chicks are more likely to "hook up" after drinking. In other words, the federal government spent $219,000 to study beer goggles.

A closer look at 100 projects funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Link to the 55 page pdf file here:  http://coburn.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?FuseAction=Files.View&FileStore_id=a28a4590-10ac-4dc1-bd97-df57b39ed872
