RiseUpWiseUp
Aspire Black Suffolk successfully secured funding from the Police Crime Commissioner to provide a mentoring service that will ensure that young people from diverse backgrounds have equal access to educational achievements and successful futures.
We have developed an interactive programme that can be delivered in person or online. Sessions will be led by our esteemed co-Director, Franstine Jones. Throughout the course, Franstine will be accompanied by influential figures from various sectors, providing young men with inspiring role models who reflect their own experiences.
The programme aims to address community issues, promote problem-solving, reduce reoffending, and enhance community cohesion.
Specifically designed for young men aged 13-15, our mentoring and Stop and Search training will empower them to steer clear of criminal activities outside of school.
We particularly focus on those who exhibit challenging behaviour in the school environment, including students in isolation or at risk of exclusion. In recognition of their participation, young men will be rewarded with opportunities to lead school projects.
By participating in Rise Up Wise Up, your school will be acknowledged as a progressive institution actively engaged in addressing issues of inclusion, diversity, and equity.
The programme sessions will cover mentoring, leadership, and support to help young men recognise their worth and strive for academic achievement and future success.
